You may be able to file a police report (if you haven’t already) and pursue a civil claim for property damage and, in some cases, additional damages depending on the circumstances. If the driver is identified, they can be held financially responsible. If not, your own auto insurance may provide coverage under uninsured motorist or property damage provisions.
