If the car registered to me was involved in a police chase, fentnyal sales, but have no proof I was driving, can they arrest me?
Asked in Garden Grove, CA on April 29, 2026 Last answered on August 19, 2026My car was involved in a short police chase in which it was crashed into a wall, and the person driving jumped out and ran (getting away), but they found over 15 grams of fentanyl, 2 scales, 2 ounces of marijuana, and inside was also my phone, my wallet, and my dog, but I was not the one driving. Can they issue an arrest warrant and charge me just because I am the owner of the vehicle?
