I retaliated to my ex keying my car. I have not admitted any guilt, but there is a video

There is a video that his friend posted to her page. It is not really clear on the face but I want to see. I did not press charges on him keying my car, and not sure if he will press charges on me, however, I want to see what recourse I have.

I see where this situation can generate some genuine concern. Even if you have not yet been charged, I would recommend a consultation with a good local criminal defense attorney in your area. You may want to see if the attorney can work with the police or the prosecutor's office pre-charge to avoid the filing of any charges against you. In the instance that you are charged, I expect you would want to have as much advance notice as possible.

My most important piece of advice for most people under suspicion of a crime is not to talk to the police without a lawyer. There could be both civil and criminal implications from what you describe. This is a case where I would recommend seeking specific legal advice from a criminal defense attorney. Don't discuss the details of the case on any public forums.
