My ex-husband has yet to pay my family any money owed that was outlined in the divorce paperwork. When can I file a motion?

I have been divorced for over 2 years and my ex-husband owes my family money that is outlined in the divorce paperwork and has yet to pay anything. Am I able to file a motion of contempt? Can I do it without a lawyer? What are the steps?

Does the Order have a deadline for him to pay? If not, you will likely be better off with a motion to enforce. You can also file a contempt the day after he doesn't comply with the deadline (if there is one).
