I offered to buy out my husband - he refused. Asked if he would buy me out - refused. I went through many realtors, but he refuses except for the one that he wants. What can I do about this?

When divorcing spouses cannot agree on a property buyout or real estate agent, the court must resolve the impasse. Wisconsin presumes equal division of marital property. You can file a motion asking the court to order the sale of the home, appoint an independent realtor, or establish a firm deadline for a buyout. Consult a divorce attorney to draft the necessary court motions to enforce the property division process.
