I hired a probate lawyer in Memphis. Can I fire him for not keeping in contact with me and drawing it out?
Asked in Knoxville, TN on February 24, 2026 Last answered on March 11, 2026I live in Knoxville. My son died in Memphis. I hired a lawyer for probate. He got me the guardianship I needed but has stalled out on the rest of probate. I have called and texted him. Even made phone appts with him that he blows off. Can I fire him and get new lawyer?

A client has the right to terminate an attorney-client relationship at any time, with or without cause.
