You can ask the court for an order allowing you access to the home to retrieve your personal belongings. This will be in the form of a "Request for Order" you file with the court. If you do not have a lawyer, most courthouses in California have Family Law Self-Help centers that help people fill out these court forms and file them so a hearing can be set. This service is free. They do not give legal advice; they only help with filling in the forms.
