• Do I need an estate attorney to retrieve my deceased mom's lawsuit?

  Before my mom's passing, she was waiting on a personal lawsuit to be finalized. Since then, the law group that was handling her case dismissed her case and advised to seek another attorney. I called them the next day and spoke with someone regarding my mom's case. I did let them know when my mom passed several days after her death, and they informed me that they were not able to speak to me until I got paperwork from the judge from probate court. Now they are telling me that I need an estate attorney to handle my mom's affair with them. What do I do?
