Have a friend with a daughter. Doctors misdiagnosed ear infection and ended up removing partial brain matter. Malpractice?

They removed part of her brain matter when they were told not to do so, when they misdiagnosed the medications beforehand, and as I said, it's been some years, and she's been taking care of her daughter for years. There's no kind of time for her; it's a burden for her; she can't do it, and she needs help.

Answer

Procedures for an ear infection shouldn’t result in brain matter removal. You may very well have a case.
