My present attorney for car accident is not up to par. How do I respectfully, honorably and peacefully drop him for another?
Asked in Columbia, SC on January 5, 2026 Last answered on May 4, 2026No contact for almost 60 days. "I can't tell you what to do about your healthcare" from paralegal. No medical lien or other to cover healthcare from the accident. My job essentially went away while I've been out under doctors orders. I'm stuck. Please advise on what I can do.

Free Consultation Your file belongs to you; you always have the right to terminate your relationship with your attorney and request a copy of your file. That said, it might be worth trying to schedule an in-person meeting with your attorney to see if you can get on the same page before you change horses.
