My child has gotten injured at school 2x in past year. Can we sue? What do we do?

Now they are attacking me for truancy on one child has a 504 plan. Are finally paying for and filing to start iep accomodations for my oldest. It's been rough time and my middle daughter is mortified/traumatized by actions of the principle and assistant superintendent.
