My son was fired for situation that derived from Epilepsy. The company was aware of. It has been over 180 days. Is there anything that can be done?
Asked in Calhoun, GA | February 15, 2026His epilepsy causes memory loss, and he had 1 incident where he failed to let them know when he pulled a muscle. Which, for one, he had no remembrance of and did not really realize he pulled a muscle, since he unloaded boxes for a living, sore was sore most nights, then a second incident concerning an ankle issue they were aware of. Still, they said he should have told them about it before leaving. Again, his memory issue was the reason he didn't say anything, and the fact that they knew of this prior. He did have one valid incident. Which usually would not have ended in termination. His boss expressed regret that it had exceeded the requirements.
