Hello, I got a summons that I am being sued by the Landlord at the Superior Court (Middlesex County) for a fire in Waltham, MA, that took place 2 years ago. The apartment next to the landlord's apartment (insurance company) sued the landlord, and the landlord is suing me. The Landlord took in writing from me and all the tenants that they will not sue the landlord. Can you please guide me?

There may be a criminal investigation so you want to be careful with who you disclose information to. If not, you may want to see if you have insurance to help you over costs, indemnify you, or pay for your lawyer. If you do not have insurance coverage  plan to retain counsel. You will likely received a complaint and need to answer it. I would want to know what happened. Specifics. Depending on your contributory negligence, you may have exposure.
