  Fatal accident 4 years ago. I was charged with manslaughter. Never given a ticket. Other driver had no insurance, recently underwent open heart surgery, no DL, talking on a cell phone at the time of the accident. Lawyer is court apptointed and has done nothing to help. Just keeps saying to take the plea deal.

  Special Needs Son got arrested, instead of Bexar Sheriff taking him to mental hospital for help, they sent him to jail. Now we are dealing with the aftermath. Please call as we did not want to press charges, now he has to have a probation officer and it is just all an absolute mess. Thanks and please let us know who to call or what to do.

  But i only had 8 driver's licenses on me at the time of my arrest. And the only reason I had the DLs on me was because I got them from work from the lost and found and I had to drop them at my local post office, this can be proven by my managers.

• How can an assailant who stabbed the victim be pressing charges on the victim?

  Several college guys get into a brawl at a bar, they all leave and go back to their dorms. Hours later, six to seven guys rush them and one of them brings a knife. One gets stabbed and they all run. He’s taken to hospital by ambulance. The person that was stabbed is now in jail with an assault charge by the individual or a friend of who stabbed him. How is it possible for the victim to be charged under these circumstances? Could you please explain how the law works in a situation like this, particularly if the assault charge stems from the same incident? I would also like to understand what options the victim may have and whether the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and self-defense are taken into consideration. There were several others involved, but only he had the charges. Also, could he, in turn, file charges against them when they rushed them in their dorm before the stabbing occurred?

  My husband was mistreated by law enforcement the day he got arrested. He has a broken leg, and they slammed him to the ground. Also, when he got to the county detention center, they neglected him on medical treatment and other issues. His name was not on the search warrant; they did an illegal search. The name was not under his name

• Is it possible for someone who has no record to get 7 years on an aggravated charge with no evidence supporting it?

  The court had no evidence supporting their claim for an aggravated charge. No witnesses were present. They still called witnesses on the stand, but it was a paramedic and a police officer who were not present when the situation occurred.
