If I Have Received A Severance Agreement From My Massachusetts Employer, Should I Have It Reviewed By Counsel Before Signing It?

Absolutely. An employment lawyer may be able to identify and develop your legal claims, get your personnel file, and negotiate you better severance package. Can also negotiate you a separation agreement that has confidentiality, non-disparagement, and no-contest with unemployment. You may want to consider filing a claim at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination but you only have 300 days to do so from the last date that discrimination occurred.
