Hello, I was a victim of assault and blackmail and I want to discuss whether I am eligible for a U-Visa. I’m on a work visa and want an LGBTQ-friendly attorney.

Answer

To consider a U-visa case, we typically have to review the police report, restraining order, or other law enforcement agency filings relating to the case. Once we see how the crime(s) were officially classified, we can consult the victim further on eligibility. If a person needs help requesting a report, they can also hire our firm for that initial step and then the consultation can be completed.
