At the moment we don’t have an attorney and we are just waiting, we don’t know if there is anything to do. In 2023 our case was closed administratively and it was because a deportation but after the Judge dismissed the deportation the i485 was reopened that happened on October 2023 since then we haven't heard anything from USCIS.  Is there anything we should be doing?

Cases with a complex history can remain pending for years with no action. It's important to keep regular correspondence (phone calls and mailings) with USCIS to bring attention to the case, if a person wants to speed up processing. An attorney can assist.
