Our property is deeded under my and my husband's name. How important is it to change that since my husband has passed away?

We have two properties under our name. My primary residence is the home where we live, and the second property belongs to my son, who has paid for it since the purchase and has maintained it for about 14 years. We put that property under our name because his credit was not great at that time. My husband has passed, and I need to know how and when I should remove my husband's name from the deeds since he is no longer alive.

If he left a will, you can probate the will. If he did not leave a will, you should consider filing an affidavit of heirship.
