Answer

Trusts are usually private documents, so there is typically not one central public place to search unless the trust became part of a court case, probate matter, or real estate transaction. Ask the person who set up the trust, the named trustee, close family members, the estate planning attorney who may have drafted it, or the financial institutions that had the person’s accounts. Those are good places to start. You can also look for probate court records in the county where the person lived if they have passed away, but many living trusts are set up to avoid probate and may not show up in court records.
