Can I sue my neighbor for injuries from their tree limb that fell?
Asked in New York, NY | March 10, 2025I was injured by a falling tree branch on my neighbor's property. It had been hanging over the property over a walkway we share. It needed to be removed for a few weeks after a storm that must have knocked it down. My neighbor was aware of the dead tree branches but did not take any action to remove them after I complained.

Can an employeer decide to pay sick days without notifing employee which is on workers comp. leave?
Asked in Marble Falls, TX | February 11, 2026I have suffered a Traumatic brain injury from a fall at work in icy conditions on a concrete parking lot on 01/28/2026. The Corporate Safety Director told Sharon that it was a significant other while I was in the ICU. This was not a workers' compensation claim, and I would use the AD&D policy, which only pays $50,000.00.

I was tboned by a drunk driver that was doing 60 and blew a red light. Where to start????
Asked in Boring, OR | February 23, 2026Miraculously, I only received some whiplash, a bruise, and a dislocated thumb. The doctors tried saying my thumb is carpal tunnel and that it would just get better and to use it more, but it's only gotten worse. The drunk driver does have insurance and is entirely at fault. The urgent care doctor said an MRI of my thumb was unethical when I didn't even request one, but came in because of the pain that was shooting up my arm whenever I put any pressure by trying to open something simple, which I still can't. I don't even know where to begin looking for an attorney. Please help.

I am age 67, neighbors in 20s, I was physically attacked by them. Does this constitute elder abuse?
Asked in Sunnyvale, CA | November 23, 2025Was physically atttacked by neighbors (husb & wife) when wife struck me with fists, we fell to ground, husb jerked me up off of wife and slammed me to ground then called police, while on phone wife again hit me in head with fist, I went to hosp was diagnosed with concussion. Police arrived, took statements and no further action. This happened on my rental property, I informed prop mgr, no action taken.. Happened 1+ year ago and neighbors are severely harassing me again when for the second time, have and currently are using their vehicle to block me in carport parking space. Last time I reported to police after being blocked in for 4 days and police stated that they could not assist because it was private property, need to contact prop mgr. Contacted prop mgr who failed to resolve. What may be my legal options? I am a US Army veteran, I receive subsidized housing assistance but I'm very afraid to notify my housing authority without knowing what my legal options may be!

Where can I find an attorney or law firm who is plaintiff-sided to go against a large corporation?
Asked in East Los Angeles, CA | February 12, 2026This matter arises from a car rental dispute that was escalated to law enforcement and resulted in a felony arrest and prosecution. Car rental company own billing/contract records reflect the rental was closed and the vehicle was returned on March 28, 2024, yet Plaintiff was arrested on April 5, 2024 while in possession of the same vehicle, creating an objective contradiction suggesting false or materially misleading information was provided to law enforcement.
