Can I sue my neighbor for injuries from their tree limb that fell?
Asked in New York, NY | March 10, 2025I was injured by a falling tree branch on my neighbor's property. It had been hanging over the property over a walkway we share. It needed to be removed for a few weeks after a storm that must have knocked it down. My neighbor was aware of the dead tree branches but did not take any action to remove them after I complained.

Can an employeer decide to pay sick days without notifing employee which is on workers comp. leave?
Asked in Marble Falls, TX | February 11, 2026I have suffered a Traumatic brain injury from a fall at work in icy conditions on a concrete parking lot on 01/28/2026. The Corporate Safety Director told Sharon that it was a significant other while I was in the ICU. This was not a workers' compensation claim, and I would use the AD&D policy, which only pays $50,000.00.

I was tboned by a drunk driver that was doing 60 and blew a red light. Where to start????
Asked in Boring, OR | February 23, 2026Miraculously, I only received some whiplash, a bruise, and a dislocated thumb. The doctors tried saying my thumb is carpal tunnel and that it would just get better and to use it more, but it's only gotten worse. The drunk driver does have insurance and is entirely at fault. The urgent care doctor said an MRI of my thumb was unethical when I didn't even request one, but came in because of the pain that was shooting up my arm whenever I put any pressure by trying to open something simple, which I still can't. I don't even know where to begin looking for an attorney. Please help.
