How many charges on my misdemeanor record can I get expunged when I do it? Also, how many felonies can I get expunged?
Asked in Hopkinsville, KY | March 30, 2026I live in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and my charges are from Taylor County and Russell County. I have several misdemeanors and two felonies, and I'm eligible for expungement next March. I'm wondering if I have to file to get all those charges expunged one by one, or if they can be grouped. I am very excited about the expungement because my life is a living nightmare. I'm going through hell when it comes to employment. I could really use the advice. Thank you!

My vehicle is being held even though all the cases got thrown out for a lack of evidence and illegal search. How do I get it back?
Asked in Santa Rosa, CA | April 13, 2026I got pulled over seven times. Now they're holding my vehicle even though all the cases got thrown out for a lack of evidence and illegal search. I need to get a hold of my vehicle so they can't sell it at the tow yard. The cases are going out, but the judge hasn't ruled on whether he wants to make me pay any of it, even though I shouldn't have to pay any of it. The bill is at 7100 and it's theirs and they can pay for it, but they want me to pay for it because they justified it as an illegal search because of the severity of the crime, but it was for three misdemeanors that all got thrown out.

Information regarding Illinois being a no bail state and not being able to go before a judge for over 30 days is normal
Asked in Roselle, IL | December 1, 2025I am trying to find someone to assist my fiance's son. He was arrested. We have been unable to talk to him for more than a minute since his arrest. We believe it is a domestic violence situation according to the jail website. Our issue here has to do with how the bail system currently works in Illinois and have been unable to get any answers. The county informed us that Illinois is a no bail state and that he will not be going before a judge for at least a month. Would like to know if this is normal? He will eventually have to go with a public defender, but I am attempting to find out if hiring an attorney to assist with the present situation would help in any way. Could an attorney help to see if he would be able to be released any sooner or even with an attorney he would have to wait until the court date they have currently set. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Not sure which direction to go. Thank you!!

The police made me sign a forfeiture of my friend's car and I'm not the owner. Can they do that?
Asked in Jeffersonville, OH | January 18, 2026They had no RAS, no probable cause, they pulled me over for a hunch and kept my friend's vehicle. Had me sign the forfeiture on the forfeiture paper. I have it says that I am the owner but I obviously am not.
