  The gang unit came and knocked on my door yelled search warrant and kicked in my front door. They never presented anyone who lives in the house with a search warrant. They took my boyfriend to the station, and because he wouldn't incriminate himself, they took his phone and have yet to give it back. What can we do?

  I have recently discovered that I have criminal charges that have been dead docketed in two counties in GA. I am a resident of NC and work in a Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. I recently applied for my CADC licensure and was denied due to active warrants in GA. Issues are with Drug Court and Probation Violation. This was a very different time in my life, and I had a very short criminal history. After surviving a DV case with my former husband (children included), I kind of lost my marbles for a minute. I know this is a long shot, but I am wondering what legal help with my cases would be available at low cost or pro bono. I have been to in-patient rehab, and am of service to my peers/addicts.

• 911 was called on me because I pulled over to a store to take a nap because I was tired and couldn't drive home.

  Someone called the police and said it was an unresponsive female in the car. While sitting in my car asleep, i was awakened by EMS and the police. The officer then went to passenger door, asking me my name, what I was doing out at night, and then proceeded to open my passenger door, asking me what was in the bags on my front seat, and was I on any opiates. He started looking in my bag that was in the front seat, asked me was there anything in car he needed to know about, mind you im still in shock because im being woke up unexpectedly and also he grab my purse and started pulling it towards him and then he stopped and stated let me see your license. So then I proceeded to get the same purse he had no business touching. So once I picked up my purse to get my license there where a dollar bill underneath it, I grabbed the bill and he also reached his hand towards me saying what is that. So the moral of the story is: Was he wrong for opening my door, looking through my belongings without proper search and seizure after stating in the police report he conducted a visual search while making contact with me?

  I was released from probation and told my report had been done. I contacted the court administrator to be sure. Contacted her and she told me I had no remaining ofp. So I asked my sister to arrange some time to see my son. They are saying I violated some magic that I was told I didn’t have. How do I get rid of this warrant and have it taken care of? I am a disabled veteran, so I have a fixed income now.
