How to terminate parental rights due to abandonment?
Asked in San Jose, CA | July 23, 2026I have no rights as my stepson's mother. His mother abandoned him when he was 10 months old due to substance abuse/addiction, multiple incarcerations, and starting a relationship with my husband's cousin. She has been released on parole recently and wants her rights to parent even though she has not been around. My son is 12 years old. I need help terminating her rights as a parent.

If I’ve been slandered and lied about and going to court because of it, what do I do?
Asked in Visalia, CA | July 27, 2026I took my daughter's cell phone away and went to the grocery store, came home, and was arrested. I’ve been going to court now for almost 4 years. I’ve gone to family court and now criminal court. They took my daughter away. My daughter completely lied, and I have a lot of information in proof, and nobody will do anything for me to help me through this, but more than that, my rights have been violated at least 1000 times through this whole process. This is ridiculous, and I don’t know what to do.
