• 911 was called on me because I pulled over to a store to take a nap because I was tired and couldn't drive home.

  Someone called the police and said it was an unresponsive female in the car. While sitting in my car asleep, i was awakened by EMS and the police. The officer then went to passenger door, asking me my name, what I was doing out at night, and then proceeded to open my passenger door, asking me what was in the bags on my front seat, and was I on any opiates. He started looking in my bag that was in the front seat, asked me was there anything in car he needed to know about, mind you im still in shock because im being woke up unexpectedly and also he grab my purse and started pulling it towards him and then he stopped and stated let me see your license. So then I proceeded to get the same purse he had no business touching. So once I picked up my purse to get my license there where a dollar bill underneath it, I grabbed the bill and he also reached his hand towards me saying what is that. So the moral of the story is: Was he wrong for opening my door, looking through my belongings without proper search and seizure after stating in the police report he conducted a visual search while making contact with me?

• How can I replace my public defender?

  My public trainer got me placed on a 6-month probation program that did not work out. She said she got me a motion to suppress, then she said she didn't. That she had withdrew because I took the program. She has changed her story a couple of times since this has happened. I would like a hired lawyer if I can get one. She doesn't seem to be fighting for me.

• My son was fired for situation that derived from Epilepsy. The company was aware of. It has been over 180 days. Is there anything that can be done?

  His epilepsy causes memory loss, and he had 1 incident where he failed to let them know when he pulled a muscle. Which, for one, he had no remembrance of and did not really realize he pulled a muscle, since he unloaded boxes for a living, sore was sore most nights, then a second incident concerning an ankle issue they were aware of. Still, they said he should have told them about it before leaving. Again, his memory issue was the reason he didn't say anything, and the fact that they knew of this prior. He did have one valid incident. Which usually would not have ended in termination. His boss expressed regret that it had exceeded the requirements.

• What legal action can I take against a neighbor whose dogs repeatedly escape their yard to attack dogs on our street?

  On multiple occasions, my neighbor’s dogs have escaped their enclosure and attacked other dogs on our street (3/28 and 4/8). While no injuries have yet occurred, this bad dog behavior and owner negligence is an increasing risk to the safety of our neighborhood’s residents.   He was arrested in Oct. 2025. He is being held on a domestic violence charge for fighting with his wife. He had a 2nd hearing on Monday: They offered him 5 yrs. in and 15 probation. He has no money, no family there....no hope. He has a record, but has never been charged with anything like this. The lawyer he has is actually doing nothing to help. I don't know what to do, and I also have a very limited budget.
