Auto insurance provider not thoroughly investigating my accident. It wasn't my fault. How do I proceed?
Asked in Denver, CO | February 17, 2026I was rear-ended after backing out of an alley. I was no longer in reverse gear. Insurance absolutely refuses to pull EDR to help determine fault. I obtained video surveillance footage and zoomed in on the other driver 7 seconds before the collision. He was turning right while looking down at his phone, which he was holding in his right hand between his chest and the steering wheel. In the vid, it is clear he never hit his brakes; he didn't use his brakes until after I did, when the collision happened. He didn't swerve or flinch when he saw me enter the road. As if he didn't see me because he wasn't looking out his windshield, he was looking at his phone. The impact broke my rear impact bar, which cannot happen from a low-speed T-bone collision. He hit me after I had backed into the street at an angle. when he hit me, his momentum kept in the forward motion across my rear bumper turning my vehicle to be perpendicular with the sidewalk and parallel with the alley which made it look like i had T boned him while backing out of the alley. I had already shifted out of reverse and was looking ahead of my vehicle when the impact occurred.

I was recently let go from my job after 9 years without notice, bad review, or pip.
Asked in Parker, CO | August 16, 2026I was terminated the day before my nine-year anniversary, with my employer stating I no longer had the skill set required for my position. I am a woman over 50. I started as the organization’s only creative/marketing employee and built its Marketing & Communications department and internal media studio. I had never received a negative review, warning, or PIP. In April, my supervisor requested more creative strategy but did not provide clear expectations or measures of success. An outside consultant was hired, and approximately 4 months later I was terminated without seeing the findings or being given an opportunity to improve. I also recently completed what was presented as an anonymous survey about my supervisor, stating that I felt expectations were unclear. Afterward, meetings with her were canceled, and I was terminated a few weeks later. I received six months’ severance and benefits. I would like to know whether these circumstances warrant review for possible age/sex discrimination and/or retaliation.

I was in a car accident. I need to know if I should hire a lawyer.
Asked in Denver, CO | May 19, 2026My wife and I were hit by a car who ran a red light. We both took an ambulance to the hospital, and after some CT scans and bloodwork, no serious injuries were prevalent. We are both battered and bruised, and have soreness and whiplash today (the day after). My car was towed and it is unclear to me if it will be totaled or not. The airbags did deploy, we were hit very hard.
