  Recently purchased a house and dumped all my savings into it. I believe that my wife and stepson planned out an argument to provoke me and take out DVO To get control of my assets/ property. Neither one helped with purchase or repairs. They locked me out and were waiting at the entrance. I was intoxicated. My stepson produced a gun and I slapped him and tried to get it. He then held me and my brother in law at gunpoint. 911 was called. I think my wife was acting the whole time. She took out papers and police arrested me without talking to any witnesses there besides those two.

  I was told that I would be paid monthly to repay myself and make a profit. I was supposed to be included in every aspect of the business, including meeting her bookkeeper and her lawyer.   My home was severely damaged. We resided in temporary locations for 13 months, which were covered by our homeowners’ insurance. However, our lease expired, and we had exhausted all our housing funds. Our contractor had assured us that the house would be ready. The house was not ready. No power to three rooms, construction tools and refuse scattered everywhere, kitchen was not finished, no sink, running water, or countertops. During the reconstruction, we repeatedly requested a detailed account of how he had utilized the funds, but we never received one. Now, he claims that he has run out of money because we chose replacement items that were excessively expensive. However, the truth is that our choices were based on the allocated funds provided by the insurance company. Our verbal agreement with him was that if we upgraded an item, we would be responsible for paying the difference. We have not received an invoice or statement detailing how the funds were spent. Since moving in, we have encountered numerous issues, including electrical, furnace, unfinished kitchen and bathrooms, and many other problems. What kind of attorney should we look for?

• Four visits to local emergency room and two visits to VA medical center ended in paralization of cancer patient.

  VA was supposed to monitor for the spread of cancer. After 6 months of chemotherapy and radiation oncology, his back was hurting for several weeks, and after 3 EMS rides and visits to the emergency room, he was sent home, and on Saturday, he was paralyzed. He also had 2 visits to the VA medical center, and they failed to do a full contrast because of a lack of communication with other hospital, and he was sent to ER, where they found that his spinal cord required emergency service, and he became paralyzed because of the negligence between the hospital and medical center.

My seizure‑like episodes and collapses were never connected to cervical instability, even though they resolved only after stabilization. I was forced to wait 8 months for surgery while experiencing a rapid neurological decline.

  Post‑operative instability and hardware failure were missed for another year, prolonging my symptoms. Ultimately, multiple loose screws and a major cervical collapse requiring a fusion to T4 were found. I lived with disabling neurological symptoms for nearly 2 years because no one recognized or addressed the underlying instability. • legal separation spousal entitlement in NC after 27 years of marriage and primary caregiver to children

  My husband recently notified me with a legal separation agreement. From what I gather, the only thing I will be given in the settlement is the house, but I will have to continue paying fees, taxes, and repairs. He has pretty much removed himself from any type of financial responsibility--meaning that I'm completely starting over at 53 and after 27 years of marriage. I have been the primary caregiver to our 2 children, now 24 and 20, and haven't had a stable career since 2012 as a law enforcement officer--giving it up in order for him to pursue his as a firefighter, then engineer, then captain which kept him from home for 24 hour shifts, as well, as weeks of natural disaster deployments. I've had jobs, but nothing steady, in order to maintain a healthy stability for our children. I have also been laid off from the job I only had for a month due to the government's Reduction in Force (RIF) initiative, and I'm desperately searching for another. I know I deserve more than has been proposed to me in this agreement and need help and guidance.
