Given her $480k income vs my -$84k debt, how quickly can we secure an emergency FC 2030 order to level playing field?
Asked in Richmond, CA | May 5, 2026I need to file for custody of my twin sons (13yo) and challenge a post-nuptial signed under duress. My wife has used my immigration status as leverage to control custody decisions and force me into an unconscionable financial agreement. FACTS: Immigration Coercion: Wife filed I-130 green card petition for me, then used it as leverage Threatened to cancel petition unless I signed unfavorable post-nuptial agreement Recently attempted to cancel my I-130 in retaliation for requesting custody Have recordings of explicit immigration threats Post-Nup Under Duress: Signed December 2023 while separated from children and financially dependent Agreement gives her $2.5M in assets, leaves me with -$84K in debt My own attorney documented it was a "great disadvantage" before I signed I wrote at time of signing: "I have no other option to be able to live close to my kids" Wife's attorney admitted in writing she avoided discussing custody during post-nup negotiations because it would "weaken the enforceability of said agreement" Financial Disparity: She controls $500K+ in liquid assets She unilaterally drained joint accounts across three countries (US, Ind & Fra)I have zero access to community funds.

I was threatened over an assumption saying my teeth will all be smashed, jaw broken and throat slit plus much more 2 say
Asked in Orange, CA | May 17, 2026Screams at me, waking me up, saying I ate a spoonful of his peanut butter, which I don’t buy. You can check my EBT records. I get up to go see what he’s claiming, and there’s just a peanut butter residue spoon in the sink. He says, “That’s clearly a peanut butter spoon.” So I say, “Wait, wait, so it goes teaspoon, tablespoon, then peanut butter spoon?" He gets about 2 inches from my face and says, "I'm going to smash all your fucking teeth, break your jaw, and slit your throat -- I hope mommy has good dental for you." I promptly fled out as fast as I could and cry myself to sleep every night as I'm in fear for my life!!!!!!!!!!
Every time he walks in the room, he has a menacing grimace on his face as if he wants to kill me. He is on parole for heinous crimes. The second time I had an early appointment so I go to take a shower. As soon as I’m out of the shower (and mind you, 2 others are sleeping in the room), he’s slamming doors, screaming in front of my face about how I'm a c*nt, my mom's a c*nt, and I’ll never get a job even though I apply to 15-25 daily on Indeed. I'm in fear for my life.

Neighbor built a deck and blocked my window. No mention of such in their permit. What type of lawyer will I need?
Asked in San Francisco, CA | April 25, 2026The deck blocked my window from light. The deck is extended; you can hop over to my side. I talked to the owner, and she said she didn’t know anything about it. Other person on permit has been dead months before the application. According to the public record, the deed title is an entity, not the permit applicants. I spoke with the inspector, he said if I pursue, it will be very expensive. I asked questions he couldn’t answer. I asked DBI to investigate, but they approved it anyway. What kind of attorney will I need?

My vehicle is being held even though all the cases got thrown out for a lack of evidence and illegal search. How do I get it back?
Asked in Santa Rosa, CA | April 13, 2026I got pulled over seven times. Now they're holding my vehicle even though all the cases got thrown out for a lack of evidence and illegal search. I need to get a hold of my vehicle so they can't sell it at the tow yard. The cases are going out, but the judge hasn't ruled on whether he wants to make me pay any of it, even though I shouldn't have to pay any of it. The bill is at 7100 and it's theirs and they can pay for it, but they want me to pay for it because they justified it as an illegal search because of the severity of the crime, but it was for three misdemeanors that all got thrown out.
